Lynne Perella Shrink Plastic Charm Bracelet inspired by Carol Quance for Paper Artsy

This week on Paper Artsy, one of my favourite guest designers is back, Carol Quance. Carol made a gorgeous bracelet made up of shrink plastic charms with Lynne Perella stamps and Fresco paints, so of course I had to give it a go! I am entering the challenge here.

I didn't have a heart die or punch so I used circles which wasn't ideal. I tried using the translucent Frescos but I think as Carol suggested the opaques would have been better. I embossed before shrinking so that only one layer of embossing powder was needed.  It was a fun project and I'm sure the left over charms will work well on cards, etc.

postscript:

I decided to make some charms using Bora Bora opaque paint and making my own heart templates but I'm not sure whether to remake the bracelet or not - what do you think:-

  1. So clever of you to make your own hearts, Lucy! They look fab! You could maybe make a second one? I do like the first one too, you see!!! The Lynne Perrella images look terrific on both sets of charms. Julie Ann x

  3. I think your circle charms look gorgeous Lucy, & your heart ones are equally lovely! They would make a beautiful second bracelet, as Julie Ann says.
Wish I'd used opaque paint on my charms too, but I was never good at following instructions! Lol!
    Happy Sunday,

  5. Gorgeous! I used transparent paints too and I quite like the effect in the sun, as the shrink is also translucent, the light shines through. I would't re-make the bracelet but either make another one or a bag charm or several key rings with the new pieces.

  8. love your first bracelet Lucy - nice to see variations on the theme.... but... if you've got the energy make another one otherwise, they'll make lovely embellishments for your other PA projects!
